Contact Us

We’re a friendly company to work with, but there’s nothing easy going about our approach to safety and quality. Every contractor who aspires to work for us must first be approved under the MSL Safepartner Scheme.

To become an MSL Safepartner, companies must demonstrate the highest standards of health and safety, customer service and workmanship across all the service sectors in which they operate.

We only select partners who share the same values as us and the same dedication to our clients. We get to know every single engineer and vet them for qualifications and skill before they can work with our clients.

The MSL Safepartner scheme is a member of the SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) Forum. The scheme provides on-going support, training and a bi-annual conference focussing on health & safety best practise and current developments.

And, of course, MSL Safepartners are subject to routine on-site appraisals and quality checks to make sure our clients receive our highest standards of service.

MSL operates throughout the UK, Ireland and parts of Europe for many well-known UK brands. We can therefore offer a reliable work load (dependent upon trade & geographical regions covered) at agreed & transparent rates on reliable payment terms.

As MSL grows and wins new customers so do our Safepartners.

MSL seek genuine partnerships and are very proactive in working closely with our partners to assist in driving improvements in both their operational efficiency and health & safety.

This is achieved through regular performance reviews of operational KPI’s and a very hands-on approach to health & safety including regular site audits. In addition membership includes access to the Safepartner web portal which provides members with helpful health & safety guidance including:

  • Toolbox Talks – a suggested programme of topics to cover with employees
  • News updates – current health & safety developments
  • Details of H&S training courses available through the MSL E Learning modules.

MSL partners must be accredited to the MSL Safepartner scheme (“the scheme”). The benefit here is that membership to a SSIP recognized scheme provides access to other SSIP recognized H&S pre-qualification schemes such as Safe Contractor & CHAS via mutual recognition and/or access to other work streams which require SSIP recognition.

However working for MSL and our clients can be demanding, balancing the requirements for:

  • Providing a highly reactive service, with responses from within 2 hours,
  • Working to achieve specified key performance indicators,
  • Technical competence & high standards of H&S,
  • Excellent communication- updating jobs progress via the MSL web portal

MSL therefore are looking to work with a capable network of partners who are confident of delivering to these demanding requirements.

To demonstrate our commitment to Health and Safety we set up the MSL Safepartner Scheme which is itself audited annually to retain accreditation to the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Forum.

The scheme is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety arrangements and competence of contractors.

If you have an accreditation with another SSIP scheme member and, as long as your accreditation remains current, you will automatically be accredited to the MSL Scheme on completion of the “Deem to Satisfy” Form. Should your accreditation lapse with the other SSIP member or you do not have accreditation with a SSIP member you will be required to undergo a successful audit to gain/retain Safe Partner status.

If you would like to register your interest in becoming an MSL Safepartner please complete and return the contact form. In the comments section please add further details about your business including number of field engineers directly employed, trades covered & principal geographical areas of operation together with details of any membership of SSIP schemes.

If you meet our criteria we will forward to you the appropriate application form for completion which will be either:

  • Deem to Satisfy Form. To be completed by members of other SSIP schemes,
  • Form for businesses with less than 5 employees,
  • Form for businesses with 5+ employees.

These should be returned within 14 days. In order to ensure that all our partners continue to maintain the high standards of the scheme membership is renewable every year and the annual fees are as below:

Safe Partner Application Cost Annual Fee
Deem to Satisfy (DTS) £148.00 (including VAT)
Safe Partner (5 and over) £283.00
Safe Partner (Under 5) £188.00

Upon successful accreditation to the scheme we will contact you to arrange a meeting to discuss the requirements of, and opportunities arising from, working with MSL.

We will agree a service level agreement with you to confirm the basis of our relationship going forward and provide a copy of our Standard Rules for Health & Safety, our Operating Procedures and provide any training.
