  1. Electrical

Current regulations (The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989) require that all electrical systems are maintained safely to prevent any danger. Facilities are required to undertake regular Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) to ensure that their electrical systems are in line with The IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

We will undertake the appropriate EICR, as well as conducting electrical tests throughout your facility, such as portable appliance testing, microwave emission testing and thermal image testing.

  1. Air Conditioning

All air conditioning systems must be subject to 5-yearly inspections, in line with the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations 2007. These assessments must be undertaken by an approved inspector who surveys the whole system, including the design, installation and operation.

However, the F Gas Regulations 2006 requires that any systems with more than 3kg of refrigerant gas must be inspected every 12 months (larger systems will need more frequent inspection).

The Regulatory Reform Order 2005 requires that fire safety is overseen and managed by the business employer, manager or owner, who must put in place a number of fire safety reviews and preventions. Similarly, they must ensure that all fire safety equipment complies with the relevant British Standard.
