Man BBQing for charity

This September, MSL were delighted to take part in the British Heart Foundations ‘Bag it, Beat it’ campaign. The idea behind the campaign is to encourage people to declutter their homes and donate any unwanted items to a British Heart Foundation collection point. All money raised will help fund life-saving research into heart conditions.

Staff at MSL spent their weekend rifling through their garages, drawers and cupboards, collecting a variety of items from clothes to books, DVD’s to toys, and everything in-between. In total, the items collected filled an astonishing 111 bags, which were then donated to our local British Heart Foundation store.

To help raise additional money for the cause, we also organised a British Heart Foundation breakfast, which we held at our very own HQ. We fired the BBQ up in our car park and started cooking; staff could buy hamburgers and hotdogs as they started their day. The food went down a treat, with the temperamental September weather on our side! We raised £100 which we added to the £730 that we raised at this year’s MSL SafePartner conference, making a total of £830 which will go towards important research for the British Heart Foundation!

Two great activities for a great cause, check out the accompanying images below!
