COMAH Regulations

The aim of the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 2015 (COMAH) is to prevent major accidents involving dangerous substances and to mitigate the effects on people and the environment of those that do occur.

As of 1 June 2015 regulations have changed, where if you were an Operator of an existing COMAH establishment you may be required to submit new notifications of any dangerous substances in line with the regulations. Likewise as a new COMAH establishment regulation states you must submit a notification three to four months prior to operation.
